Tony is a Founding Partner of Pallas Advisors with extensive experience across innovative technologies, strategic planning, dual-use companies, and government. He has a deep commitment to having a positive impact on national security. Using best practices from military planning, he works with private-sector companies to achieve their business goals and to accelerate the integration of technology into the national security community. He currently is dedicated to the education of the next generation of national security professionals. Drawing on his experience across the national security ecosystem, Tony also identifies and invests in emerging technologies with a promising national security use case through Pallas Ventures.   

 

In government, he was most recently the Deputy Chief of Staff to the Secretary of Defense and the Chief of Staff to the Deputy Secretary of Defense, where his portfolio focused on technology and modernization. Previously, Tony served more than 25 years as an Army officer, with over five years of combat deployments in both Iraq and Afghanistan, as well as various senior staff positions and intel responsibilities.

 

Tony is currently Chair of the Advisory Board of AI validation company Calypso AI, serves on the Advisory Board of the open-source intelligence company Janes, and is an Adjunct Senior Fellow at the Center for New American Security. Alongside these responsibilities, Tony is an active mentor across several university and government programs. He holds a master's degree in Public Administration from George Mason University, and an M.A. in National Security Policy Studies from the School of Advanced Military Studies. He has a B.S. from Washington and Lee University.
