Katie is an attorney with extensive experience in national security law and policy, acquisition and contract law, and federal ethics. She most recently served as the senior civilian attorney for a unit within U.S. Army Special Operations Command where she led the sensitive activities portfolio and weapons development portfolio. From 2015 – 2021 Katie served as an active-duty U.S. Army Judge Advocate. During this time, she advised numerous general officers on four combat deployments to the Middle East. Katie is currently a Forté Foundation Fellow pursuing her Masters in Business Administration (MBA) at the Duke Fuqua School of Business. She holds a Juris Doctorate (J.D.) from Boston College and a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in English and Foreign Affairs from the University of Virginia. She is licensed to practice law in North Carolina and the District of Columbia.
