Lieutenant General (Ret.) Bob Ashley brings over 36 years of strategic and operational military intelligence experience in the U.S. Army and Joint Force, with expertise in defense intelligence, global operations, and risk management. Bob was previously the Director of the Defense Intelligence Agency, and formerly served as the Army Deputy Chief of Staff, G-2 where he was the senior advisor to the Secretary of the Army and Army Chief of Staff for all aspects of intelligence, counterintelligence, and security. In addition, Bob has multiple combat tours in Iraq and Afghanistan, where he has commanded at the squadron and brigade levels as well as serving as the senior intelligence officer for the Joint Special Operations Command and International Security Assistance Force - Afghanistan. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Appalachian State University and master’s degrees from the National Intelligence University and the United States Army War College.
