OUR ORIGIN STORY
Pallas Advisors was founded by Sally Donnelly and Tony DeMartino, both of whom were former senior government officials in the Office of the Secretary of Defense. Throughout their time in the national security ecosystem, Sally and Tony have seen first hand the challenges of getting innovative tech into the hands of the warfighter. Inspired to create a firm focused on having a positive impact on national security, Sally and Tony founded Pallas Advisors in 2018. Through Pallas, Sally and Tony work to put the very best tech into the hands of the young men and women serving our nation and amplify the impact of decisive leaders in national security.
Pallas is the first name of the Greek goddess, Pallas Athena. As the goddess of wisdom, creativity, and prudent warfare, Pallas is the perfect symbol for the firm.
Since its founding, the Pallas enterprise has expanded to include a non-profit foundation and a venture arm. A think-tank-like organization, the Pallas Foundation is dedicated to training the next generation of national security leaders from underrepresented communities. The Foundation also serves as a convening authority, bringing government officials, experts in their fields, and others together to discuss relevant topics and share best practices. Finally, Pallas Ventures seeks out the best early-stage companies with dual-use technology for investment. This approach provides innovative companies the time and scale necessary to do business within the national security ecosystem.
